Aug 28, 2013 10:52 PM

Kentucky, Michigan State and Kansas are considered to be the frontrunners in Cliff Alexander’s recruitment.

Alexander's girlfriend will be a freshman on the Kansas women's basketball team this season.

"They say he's going to Kansas because the girl he dates goes to Kansas," Alexander’s high school coach, Mike Oliver said. "People are always spouting rumors."

Oliver added that Alexander talks about Michigan State and Tom Izzo "all the time."

Dante Exum Remains Undecided On Attending College

Aug 28, 2013 8:08 PM

Dante Exum will graduate from high school in Australia in October and is one of the top prospects eligible for the 2014 NBA Draft.

"Schools have been saying I can start in early December and play this season," Exum told ESPN. "But if college is the option, I'll stay in Australia, do workouts with the national team and then go to college next August. Playing this season in college is not an option."

Exum is considering Indiana, North Carolina, Kentucky, Michigan and Oregon.

Okafor, Jones To Make Visits Together To Baylor, Kansas, Duke

Aug 11, 2013 12:48 PM

Jahlil Okafor and Tyus Jones are widely expected to choose the same school.

Both players have included Baylor, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan State and Ohio State on their lists.

Okafor and Jones will make official visits together to Baylor on Aug. 30, Kansas on Oct. 18 and Duke on Oct. 25. Okafor will visit Kentucky on Sept. 9 and Arizona on Oct. 11 without Jones. Okafor will also make unofficial visits to Illinois, Michigan State and Ohio State.

Okafor would like to make a decision in November, but his father said that is not set in stone.

Duke is rumored to be the frontrunner, which Okafor's father says his unfortunate.

"It's disappointing. It's taking the fun out of the process for the two boys," Okafor's father, Chukwudi Okafor, said by phone. "That's a shame. Let the kids go through the process. I just want them to enjoy it, not the media, not Twitter, not the coaches, not the AAU coaches. Those kids are highly intelligent. They know what to do. Let it play out, and I think the world is in for something special."

Dante Exum '50-50' On Declaring For Draft Or Playing College Basketball

Aug 10, 2013 9:27 PM

Dante Exum is strongly considering declaring his entry in the 2014 NBA draft.

"I used to be like 90 percent to 10 that I was going to college, but recently they are saying that my stock has risen even more, that I could possibly go top five," said Exum, a native of Australia. “Now it's more of a 50-50 decision."

Exum, a 6-foot-6 point guard who’s being recruited by Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky and North Carolina, among others, admits to being lured by the financial security of the NBA.

"If I'm ready, I'm ready - and the money also appeals,” said Exum. “I always dreamt about being rich as a kid. But my family will always help me make the right decisions throughout the whole process.”

Calipari Expects Kentucky's Leadership To Come From Randle, Harrison Twins

Aug 8, 2013 12:52 PM

John Calipari anticipates his 13-14 Kentucky team to be led by Julius Randle, Aaron Harrison and Andrew Harrison.

Alex Poythress, a returning sophomore, won't have as many leadership responsibilities.

"I just need him to play," said Calipari, "just play. He's not going to be a guy who stands up and tells people where to go. He's not that vocal. He just needs to play. Our leadership will come from one of those freshmen."
